1.1  Keep the app in the Dock
After downloading from the Mac App Store, myCatalogs is located in the programs folder and is also visible in the launchpad. The easiest way to start an app is via the Dock. So your app is permanently available in the Dock, the following steps are necessary: Start myCatalogs from the Launchpad. MyCatalogs is now visible in the Dock. Right click on myCatalogs in the Dock to open the Options menu. Now click the "Keep in Dock" option.

1.2  Add new catalog
After you have started catalogs, you will see the catalog menu. If catalogs already exist, you can select them in the left pane and you can see the preview in the right pane. By clicking on a new catalog with the title "NEW" is created. The title "NEW" is already selected in the right pane and can be easily overwritten. The title does not have to be unique. But if you want to use the sync function to transfer data over a network folder or via a cloud drive for this catalog, please use only unique catalog titles.

1.3  Rename catalog
Renaming a catalog is possible at any time and works just like defining a catalog title in the catalog creation. In the left pane, select the desired catalog, you will see the preview with the catalog title in the right pane. You can simply overwrite the catalog title. If you want to use the sync function for data transfer via a network folder or via a cloud drive for this catalog, it works only if the catalog title is the same on all Macs.

1.4  Arrange catalogs
You can determine the order of your catalogs yourself. Click on or on and the selected catalog is moved up or down one position at a time.

1.5  Delete catalog
If you want to delete a catalog, click And the selected catalog is permanently deleted after a security query. Please note that all documents and contents of the selected catalog will be deleted. This action can not be undone. Use this function only if you are absolutely sure that this catalog and the documents contained in it are no longer required.

1.6  Add new document
After double-clicking a catalog in the left area of the main window, you can add a new document to the catalog. Click on the top right (next to the catalog title) and a new document, titled "NEW" is created. Now rename your new document by overwriting the title "NEW" (top right).

1.7  Rename document
You can rename the title of your document at any time. To do this, select the desired document at the document table on the left. You can simply overwrite the title of the document (at the top right). After each document has its own ID number (at the bottom left), the title of the document can also be identical to another document.

1.8  Duplicate document
To create a duplicate from a document, first select the desired document And then click the right mouse button in the table row. Now the "Duplicate" button is visible, whereby a duplicate with all contents will be created. This is very helpful when you want to work with templates. So if a design template has been created, e.g. for a recipe, the cataloging of further recipes is very simple.

1.9  Lock document
Especially if you want to share a document, it is helpful if you can lock the document and changes are impossible. Click in the document (right) on and the document can not be changed. Optionally, you can specify a password. If you want to unlock a document again, click in the document (right) on Whereby changes are possible again.

1.10  Arrange documents
You can determine the order of your documents by yourself. To do this, click below the document table on or on   and the selected document is moved up or down by one position at a time.

1.11  Sorting documents
This is a function that you know from other programs. Double-click on the header of a table column to sort the contents in ascending or descending order. With this function you can sort the documents in your catalog.

1.12  Search for document
You can enter a search term below the document table. The search starts automatically during your text entry and you get the result immediately.

1.13  Delete document
If you want to delete a document, click on and the selected document is permanently deleted after a security query. Please note that all content and data of the selected document will be deleted. This action can not be undone. Use this function only if you are absolutely sure that you no longer need this document.
