6.3    Footer
6.4    Padding
6.5    Page numbers
6.6    Placeholders

6.1  Preview
MyCatalogs offers you the possibility to print directly from the document window and set the print options for each document individually. For some documents, the printout is useful with the header and footer. In other documents (for example, letters), you want to print an automatic page counter in the footer or the document image in other documents. Simply click on and the preview opens immediately with the print output of your document.

You can use the short command ⌘P to send the document directly to your printer. After the transfer of the print output from myCatalogs to the preview already takes place in PDF format, immediate saving in PDF format is possible. In the preview use the short command ⇧⌘S To create a duplicate, and then save the PDF with the shortcut ⌘S at a location you want (for example at your Desktop).

6.2  Header
If you activate the "Print header" option in your document (right), the printout is performed with the respective configured header line. To format the header, please click on the right at and the window for configuring the header is opened. The settings for the header are described in point 4 of this documentation. You can specify the formatting of the header for each document, or you can use it for all documents in the same catalog.

6.3  Footer
If you activate the option "Print footer" in your document (on the right), the printout will be done with the respective configured footer. To format the footer, please click on the right at and the window for configuring the Footer window opens. The settings for the footer are described in point 4 of this documentation. You can specify the formatting of the footer for each document, or use it for all documents in the same catalog.

6.4  Padding
The padding option has no effect when printing. The padding option is only for the visual representation of the text area in your document. The text is thus displayed with or without edge area.

6.5  Page numbers
Especially for multi-page printouts, the automatic page counter is available, which you can include in the header or footer of your document. To do so, click on the button and the header and footer settings will be displayed, then add the placeholder <Page> for the page number and add the placeholder <Pages> for the total number of pages. The settings for the header and footer are described in point 4 of this documentation.

6.6  Placeholders
A variety of placeholders are also available for you to use the data outside the text area (for example, the address of a location) in the header or footer. Open the header and footer settings with a click on and insert one of the available placeholders at the desired location. The settings for the header and footer are described in point 4 of this documentation.
